Joint Opera/Vocal Auditions

Deadline: 4.30pm (UK) on Wednesday 2 October 2024.

Live auditions in London: from mid-November to mid-December 2024. Candidates who apply on time will be notified of their live audition date by no later than 31 October.

Recorded applicants will be required to upload their video audition by Friday 25 October. Details about this process will follow after the application deadline. Please refer to the relevant department's audition page for full requirements.

Music Therapy

Deadline: 4.30pm (UK) on Thursday 12 December 2024.

Electronic & Produced Music (EPM) - all programmes

Deadline: 4.30pm (UK) on Monday 6 January 2025.

Please see EPM auditions page for details about the application/interview process.

Artist Diploma (all pathways excluding Opera and Joint Opera/Vocal)

Deadline: 4.30pm (UK) on Wednesday 28 February 2025. 

London auditions usually take place in late March to early May.

MA in Opera Making and Writing

Deadline: 4.30pm (UK) on Wednesday 26 March 2025.

Interviews are likely to take place in April/May.

PG Cert in Performance Teaching

Deadline: 4.30pm (UK) on Tuesday 29 April 2025. 

Late applications are often possible for this programme. Candidates who wish to make a late application for PGCert should contact music.applications@gsmd.ac.uk to enquire. 

OVERSEAS AUDITIONS

Asia Auditions: all departments/programmes

NOTE: candidates cannot audition for the Opera course or make a Joint Opera/Vocal application in our overseas venues. Classical singers who wish to audition in Asia may apply for the Vocal Department only. 

Additionally, there are restrictions for some other specialist disciplines, which cannot be accommodated when we host auditions at overseas venues. Please see the music auditions overseas page for more details, along with information about audition venues and dates.

New York Auditions: all departments/programmes

NOTE: candidates cannot audition for the Opera course or make a Joint Opera/Vocal application in our overseas venues. Classical singers who wish to audition in New York may apply for the Vocal Department only.
