About Drama Discovery Course
Our beginners drama course for ages 7-11, will introduce children to the foundations of acting, through weekly classes that will build confidence and social skills, support self-expression and unleash creativity.
Classes will include vocal and physical movement exercises, drama games and improvisation.
All students from the Drama and Music Discovery Course for ages 7–11, will come together each Saturday and sing in the GYA Kings Cross Choir. This will enable them to work as a team, get to know each other and unlock their vocal musicality. Starting at 9am and finishing at 11am, students on the Drama Discovery Course will have one hour, 45 minutes of lesson time (with a 15 minute break)
Perfect for beginners, those who simply want to spend a few hours exploring their imagination with newfound friends or are thinking about taking their passion for drama a step further.
Drama students will come together with music and production arts students to create innovative performances. These will be staged at the centre and other arts venues. Visits from Guildhall School drama students and tutors will give students the opportunity to further develop their skills and ask any questions they might have.
