About Music Production in Logic Pro

This three-day course aimed at beginners will introduce essential elements of Logic Pro, allowing you to get producing, composing and mixing.

Covering sampling, synthesis, drum machines, MIDI instruments and audio mixing, the course will give you the skills to realise your musical visions.

Who is the course for?

Anyone aged 14 to 17 at a beginner level or with a basic understanding of music production, who wish to gain the skills to independently write and produce music.

What can I expect?

The course will be a mix of theory and practical projects aimed at giving you transferable skills for your own project. You will be encouraged to be creative and produce your own tracks daily, with the aim of having a three-minute track by the end of the course.

The course will cover the creative skills needed to produce a track including drum machines, synthesis, audio editing, virtual instruments, plug-ins and workflow. 

Do I need anything for the course?

A pair of headphones (with a 1/4" jack) (headphones will also be provided but some participants like to bring their own).

About the Course Tutor

The course is led by Joshua Mycroft

Joshua is a producer, musician and educator with 15 years experience using Logic Pro for mixing, recording and creative music production. With experience across a range of genres and an expert technical knowledge of the software, Joshua is able to guide learners step by step through this powerful and creative DAW.
