About Centre for Young Musicians
Guildhall Young Artists is Guildhall School’s network of centres across the country, providing inspiring performing arts training for children and young people.
Centre for Young Musicians provides high-quality progressive music training, with a range of performance opportunities for more than four-hundred 5–18 year-olds on Saturdays during term time.
Guildhall School of Music and Drama is ranked number one in Arts, Drama & Music by the Complete University Guide 2023, one of the top ten performing arts institutions in the world in the QS World University Rankings 2023, as well as the number one higher education institution in the Guardian University Guide music league table.
On Saturdays during term time, students follow an individual programme of classes from classical to jazz, composing and songwriting, to musical theatre.
Based at Morley College near London Waterloo, young musicians can develop their creativity and access high-quality training with top practitioners and industry professionals, across a variety of styles and genres.
With no costs required to audition and a minimum of one year learning an instrument recommended to join (excluding our Primary Years and Youth Brass Programme's, where no experience is required), Centre for Young Musicians (CYM) is a great way to access Guildhall School’s world-class training, make friends and have lots of fun.
