In addition to weekly classes every Saturday, Centre for Young Musicians (CYM) organises a range of Holiday Courses, which are open to all young musicians regardless of whether they attend CYM.

In addition to weekly classes every Saturday, Centre for Young Musicians (CYM) organises a range of Holiday Courses, which are open to all young musicians regardless of whether they attend CYM. This includes the London Schools Symphony Orchestra (LSSO) and the London Youth Wind Band (LYWB).
Courses for the LSSO are offered in the Winter, Spring and Summer Holidays, and courses for the LYWB are offered in the February Half-Term and the Summer Holidays.
Course dates, entry and audition requirements, and application deadlines are outlined below.
London’s premier youth orchestra for young musicians aged 14–19, playing at Grade 7 or above on their instrument. LSSO runs courses in the Winter, Spring and Summer Holidays.
Applications for LSSO 2024-25 have now closed. Late applications will be considered if spaces are available. Please email lsso@gsmd.ac.uk if you have missed the deadline.

LYWB gives young musicians aged 12–18, playing at Grade 6 or above on their instrument, the chance to perform a wide range of music and meet new friends. LYWB runs courses in the February Half-term and Summer Holidays.
