Biography

Victoria trained in Acting at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. She works as a director and movement director and teaches Movement and Drama at the Guildhall School and the Royal Academy of Music.  

Victoria has directed L’occasione fa il ladro for British Youth Opera, Aminta e Fillide (Handel) and Venus and Adonis (Blow) for the Guildhall School, Albert Herring, The Rape of Lucretia and A Midsummer Night’s Dream for the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, The Green Bird touring in and around Shanghai, Birtwistle’s The Last Supper for BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, La Cenerentola and Così fan tutte for West Green House Opera, Handel’s Atalanta for Cambridge Handel Opera and Die Fledermaus for Clonter Opera. Semi-staged productions include Death in Venice, Billy Budd, Boris Godunov, Die Walküre, The Rake’s Progress, La bohème and Carmen at the St. Endellion Festival. 

Victoria’s work as a movement director includes Ariadne auf Naxos, Göteborg Opera; Rigoletto, Bucharest National Opera; La traviata and Don Giovanni, Opera North; La wally and Un ballo in maschera, Opera Holland Park; Ariodante, Cambridge Handel Opera; and numerous productions for the Guildhall School and the Royal Academy of Music.  

Victoria treasures the opportunity to continue her work as an actor, and has appeared in several of Iain Burnside’s chamber dramas. Victoria also performs regularly in words and music programmes and family concerts at the St. Endellion Festival and the Southwell Music Festival, collaborating regularly with Mark Padmore, Roderick Williams and Marcus Farnsworth amongst others.
