Bryony Williams

Biography

Bryony is currently teaching movement to singing students on the BMUS singing course and music therapy students on the Music Therapy course at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She has also worked with singers at the Royal Academy of Music, and Music Theatre and Acting students at University of West London. 

Her most recent choreographic work has included choreography for Pride and Prejudice and Sweet Charity at Questors Theatre Ealing. 

She has extensive training and experience in both Western and Eastern movement practices and has taught in France, Belgium, Italy and Israel as well as this country. She is flexible, holistic and creative in her approach, aiming to make movement accessible and beneficial to diverse groups and abilities.    

She trained in European Expressive Dance in the 1970s with Ernest Berk and in the 1980s/90s in Ki Martial Arts with Ken Waight - Seishin Kitaido (becoming an Instructor in 1992), Boh, Bokuto and shiatsu massage.  

She has also studied many styles and forms of dance over the years, including American tap, Argentine tango, Baroque Dance, Contemporary Dance, Jazz Dance, Classical Ballet and Dance Improvisation.  

She is joint founder/director of SpiralArts, an intergenerational dance/movement based combined arts company (www.spiralarts.org.uk).
