Julia moved to London in 1997 from Detroit, Michigan to pursue a career in Stage Management and worked as a freelancer in venues and productions all across The UK including West End and National Tours. She completed an MA in Filmmaking from the London Film School in 2005 but her love for theatre quickly drew her back and she progressed into freelance Production Management.

In 2008 she took the role of Deputy Production Manager at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts working on many productions in venues all across London. In 2012 she returned to freelance work including working closely with the National Youth Theatre and Guildhall School.
