Biography
Performing and recording credits for keys man, songwriter and producer Oli Rockberger include: Carly Simon, John Mayer, Steve Jordan, Louis Cole, Richard Spaven, Randy Brecker, Steve Gadd, Becca Stevens and Laura Mvula, as a member of her touring band (Keys/Vox).
A songwriter and producer for others, recent songwriting collaborations include Jordan Rakei, Shaun Escoffery, and Gregory Porter/Troy Miller as a co-writer of lead single Revival Song from Porter’s ‘21 Grammy Nominated album All Rise.
Oli has also worked on a number of high-profile BBC projects in recent times; as a featured artist for BBC Radio 2’s Friday Night is Music Night Beatles Orchestrated from Abbey Road with Jules Buckley & The BBC Concert Orchestra and advising as Songwriting Consultant for BBC 2’s The Choir: Britain in Lockdown with Gareth Malone.
Recent recording highlights include featured vocals on Laura Mvula’s Mercury Award and Ivor Academy Award nominated Pink Noise album, keys on a track for Chaka Khan (Everybody Loves Jamie soundtrack recording), as well as the release of his sixth solo studio collection, Look Up.
Oli’s teaching specialisms encompass songwriting, collaboration and performance, in 1-1, ensemble and workshop settings.
