Aurelie Clark

Biography

A seasoned theatre practitioner with over 20 years experience in the creative industries. specialising in Prop Making, Puppetry, Scenic art and Carpentry, she graduated from Central School of Speech and Drama with a degree in Theatre Practice Prop Making. Since then, she has built a diverse portfolio, contributing her expertise to a wide range of sectors including theatre, live events, advertising, film, TV, installation and attractions, both nationally and internationally.
Aurelie's career spans high profile projects and venues including the Edinburgh Fringe, Pride events, Almedia Theatre, Albany Theatre, Elstree Studios, 3 Mills Studios, British Summer Time at Hyde Park and Hackney Empire among many others. Throughout her career she has demonstrated a passion for transforming concepts into reality, always with an eye for detail and a dedication to the craft.
In addition to her practical work, Aurelie has transferred her skills into education, starting as a Prop Making lecturer on the BA Technical Theatre course at the University of Essex's E15 Acting School. Her role evolved over time ultimately becoming Head of Workshops. Later moving to Mountview, working as Senior Prop Making Tutor and Scenic artist and then Scenic Workshop Manager.
Her passion for theatre practice is matched by a commitment to nurturing the next generation of makers. Aurelie is now excited to bring her experience and knowledge to Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she helps shape the future of Prop Makers and artists as a member of their teaching staff.
