Biography
Elisabet was born in Stockholm, Sweden, and started playing the violin when she was 10. She later tried the viola and fell in love with its sound and the fullness of the tone.
At the age of 19 she got accepted into the Royal Music Academy in Stockholm with viola as her main instrument and four years later graduated with a Master of Fine Arts.
Elisabet went on to freelancing as a musician and played for four years in Folkoperan, a small opera house in Stockholm. Later she joined the viola section in the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in Stockholm.
1995 she moved to Norwich and took up teaching privately and in various schools. She also taught in Derbyshire for a year.
Elisabet moved back to Sweden where she took a Graduate Diploma in Music Education, Instrumental teaching. She worked fulltime as a violin, viola and orchestra-teacher in Huddinge municipality for nearly six years.
Elisabet moved back to Norwich in July 2022 together with her family and her small dog. She loves being back in Norwich enjoying the beautiful city and long walks on the various Norfolk beaches.
