Gwen Mouncher

Biography

Gwen studied as an undergraduate and postgraduate at Cardiff University, where she achieved a BMus in Music and a Masters in Piano Performance. Alongside her undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, Gwen also achieved DipABRSM and LRSM in piano.

In 2019 Gwen also studied at Guildhall School and achieved a PG Cert in Performance Teaching. 

Gwen began her piano teaching business in 2015, which has recently has expanded to include more teachers working with Gwen, building the Cardiff music school further.

Since 2016 Gwen has been singing with the BBC National Chorus of Wales and Gwen also works as a choral repetiteur.

Gwen teaches piano at a Welsh medium school in Cardiff, as well as performing in ensembles and accompanying vocal groups in Wales and the Southwest regularly.

Outside of music, Gwen loves all sorts of dance, especially Lindy Hop and Salsa, and travelling to new places.

Gwen joined the GYAT team in summer 20223, and loves working with students and colleagues there.
