Biography

Pierre Engelhard is a Video and Visual Media lecturer in the BA in Digital Design and Production programme and specialises in real-time and interactive video installations. Before coming to Guildhall, Pierre taught at the Brunel Design School and at the University of the Arts London (London College of Communication) and delivered modules in Immersive Storytelling, Mixed Reality Design, Motion Graphics Design and Interactive Design. 

Pierre graduated with a double BA in Film, Media and Journalism from the University of Stirling and an MA in Digital Direction from the Royal College of Art. 

Besides his work in academia, Pierre maintains an active creative practice as a new media artist and digital director. Pierre's work spans video installations, hybrid performances and video art. Amongst others, Pierre’s work has been presented at the Saatchi Gallery (London), IKLECTIK (London), RichMix (London), Milton Court (London), Ugly Duck (London), Bright Festival (Leipzig) and Media Art Nexus (Singapore).
