What's been your highlight during your time at Guildhall?
My favourite project so far was the puppet show in collaboration with Little Angel Theatre. Because of the lock down, we had to communicate, organize, design, and perform the entire show online. However, we really utilized what we are capable of within the given parameter to deliver an international touring show to schools and communities across the world. The amount of people we have reached through this project was definitely the highlight of my time at Guildhall so far. It showed me potentials for online theatre, and made us the cohort a closer team together.
What's something you've learned that you feel will help you when you graduate?
This global pandemic has taught us a lot in how to efficiently communicate and care for each other during a production when in person meeting is not permitted. I believe that as a cohort, we all learned tricks in working together online. Throughout the programme so far, I've also learned how to quickly adapt into a new setting or parameter when putting together a show. As a future production manager, I think the ability to adjust and adapt will be very crucial to my future career.
What are you most interested in working in after you graduate?
I would love to work in touring companies and learn more about how to manage a show on tour. I've worked for plays, musicals, and concerts in the past, so I think a touring show, whether it's theatre or any other live events, will be a great for me to try. I have lived in China, U.S., Spain, and now U.K., so I think my diverse experiences will help me adapt into this new environment.
