Event information
Join us for an evening of powerful music with the Guildhall Saxophone Ensemble, presenting a diverse mix of styles centred around the urgent theme of climate change.
The programme features iconic hits like Joni Mitchell’s Big Yellow Taxi and Michael Jackson’s Earth Song, alongside genre-crossing works by Jenni Watson, the bold dystopian soundscape of Jacob Ter Veldhuis’s Postnuclear Winter Scenario, and After the Birds by Guildhall saxophonist Lydia Kenny.
In the second half, experience the premiere of The Last Tree, a moving new suite by Guildhall professor Alastair Penman, with each movement inspired by thought-provoking quotes on climate change.
