Guildhall School presents the 2025 Chamber Music Festival

Guildhall School’s Chamber Music Festival returns for a weekend of inspiring performances from 14–16 March 2025.

Student-professor collaborations in the superb acoustics of the Milton Court Concert Hall bring together talented Guildhall students and world-renowned chamber professors in works ranging from Haydn and Brahms to Sally Beamish, Stravinsky and Takemitsu.

Rising stars the Elmore Quartet, our Hans Keller Chamber Fellows, open the festival, and the Saturday Student Showcase features an abundance of talented current student groups - from string quartets to brass quintets.

Q&A with Matthew Jones, Head of Chamber Music

"The excitement every year is seeing what happens in the process between the professors and the students during the Milton Court concerts ... It’s wonderful to hear the fruits of that intensive burst of labour".

Before this year's festival begins, we caught up with Matthew Jones, Head of Chamber Music and Professor of Viola at Guildhall School, to find out more about what we can expect from this weekend of inspiring performances.
