What's been your highlight during your time at Guildhall?

The highlight during my time at Guildhall has definitely been the people I have worked with and met. Collaboration with each other is at the core of our course, but I have also had the privilege of working with industry professionals, teachers and other students on all of our projects so far. Working with these people has challenged me and pushed me to further develop my skills. It also has been thoroughly enjoyable and really shaped my time at Guildhall so far, I am really looking forward to further collaborations and having a long lasting relationship with them.

What other passions and projects have you enjoyed exploring during your time at Guildhall?

My research project has allowed me to reach out and connect with people in the industry and in my particular field of musical theatre composition and writing. I have learnt so much from these conversations and it has allowed me to hear first-hand about the experience of working as a musical theatre writer in the industry.

What's something you've learned that you feel will help you when you graduate?

Collaboration and communication is key to the smooth running and creative success of projects and work. Being on the same page about your common goal is crucial and ultimately leads to a much more enjoyable and fruitful experience. Allowing yourself time to be creative and problem solve is also key to maintaining wellbeing and being happier with the overall outcome.

What are you most interested in working in after you graduate?

I am most interested and passionate about working in composition, sound design and writing for theatre and musical theatre when I graduate. I am currently working on writing and creating a musical and I hope to continue creating and supporting new work.
