The concert includes a varied programme of chamber and large ensemble works by Guildhall Postgraduate and Undergraduate students and composers, presented by the Silk Street Sinfonietta, conducted by composer-conductor Antoine Veillerette. Actor and Guildhall School alumnus Alex Knox takes on the speaker role in Julian Philips’ Melodys of Earth and Sky.
This is the tenth concert from the Silk Street Sinfonietta ensemble, co-founded in 2022 by Antoine Veillerette and Yotham Ben Yami during their undergraduate composition studies at Guildhall School. The ensemble is dedicated to promoting new music and young talent and is comprised of students from across the London Conservatoires.
This concert is part of our 2025 Composition Open Day, but open to all to attend.
