Julian Clayton conducts Junior Guildhall musicians in an evocative programme of Respighi’s Ancient Airs and Dances, Vaughan Williams’ famous Five Variants on Dives and Lazarus, Khachaturian’s Spartacus Suite No 2 – including the much-loved Adagio of Spartacus and Phrygia - and Lalo’s Cello Concerto.
Featuring as cello soloist is Ellen Baumring-Gledhill (pictured above): former winner of Junior Guildhall’s prestigious Lutine Prize and a string category finalist of the 2020 BBC Young Musician competition.
