Sophia Jowett

Biography

Sophia Jowett, PhD, is a former professor of psychology and currently a research fellow at Guildhall School, as well as a freelance performance and coaching psychologist.  

Sophia's research revolves around interpersonal relationships, leadership and communication in achievement-orientated environments such as sport, school, performance arts (music, dance), work/business. Her research has been funded by the private and public sector and the findings of this research have been published in high impact outlets and disseminated in national and international conferences. Sophia is on the editorial board of a number of scientific journals, has co-edited books, monographs and special issues and has created digital resources. She is an associate fellow and chartered psychologist of the British Psychological Society.
