Biography

What’s been your highlight in the industry?

I would definitely have to say that my highlight in the industry so far was when I was covering an ex Guildhall student Abu Mensah as the Video Technician for the first ever European showing of the musical “Passing Strange” at The Young Vic Theatre in Southwark, London. Even though I have worked with different crewing companies for the last couple of years working on many different concerts and festivals from Parklife Festival in Manchester to working on shows for Dua Lipa, Queen & Adam Lambert, and Beautiful South. Getting the opportunity to work on this incredible Tony award winning musical as my first professional theatre role was simply unbelievable as I got to work with and meet so many unbelievable people.

What other passions and projects have you enjoyed exploring during your time at Guildhall?
 

Photography and Videography are definitely two of my biggest passions and just because of Guildhall I have managed to explore both of them a lot more than I thought I would be able to whether that be me filming projects we are putting on, to working in a film set environment for the Guildhall screen productions and creating different music videos for people I have met whilst being at Guildhall.

What’s something you’ve learned that you feel will help you when you graduate?
 

Even though I have always prided myself on my people skills and my ability to work well within teams, whilst being at Guildhall these have definitely been made stronger because of the immense amount of projects and productions the school puts on each year, where you are constantly working in different groups and with different people for every single job. I have also had chances to work in many different roles during my time at Guildhall so I have a much better understanding as to how to execute all of those roles as effectively and efficiently as possible.
