Biography

Abigail Glasser is a multi-disciplinary theatre maker who writes, composes and performs original musical theatre. Inspired by dark comedy and taboo subjects, her work aims to playfully satirise modern day archetypes to create thought-provoking magical realism.

Her first original musical DIVINE, which was showcased for her graduation from Guildhall in 2019, was an exploration of feminine archetypes and Goddesses from mythology set in a modern day context.

Since then she has been developing a solo show Cookie Consent, which is a satirical one woman musical exploring our relationship with the internet, the ‘digital gaze’ and the phenomenon of growing up online. She also composed the music for a new musical about the Beat Poetry movement, You’ll Be Okay.

Abigail also works as a facilitator and teacher, and regularly works for Islington-based youth theatre Company Three, most recently on the Coronavirus Time Capsule project over the first lockdown.

Additional acting credits include The Suppliant Women (2017) and Twelfth Night (2018) at the Young Vic.
