Biography

Dan is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, audio engineer and more recently an instrumental tutor. He started learning music at an early age when his tutor, David Dorey, handed him a cornet at the age of 6. Realising very quickly that it was something he enjoyed, this sparked his curiosity to learn more instruments. These early years provided a solid foundation that would inevitably unfold into a career.

He has toured both nationally and internationally since he was 17, most notably alongside ‘Franko Fraize’ who he continues to work closely with as a session musician and producer. This collaboration has led to many wonderful opportunities and venues to perform in, including a live session for BBC Introducing at Maida Vale in 2016 after signing with Warner Records.

Since gaining a BA Hons in Creative Music Technology at Cambridge ARU and settling in Norfolk, Dan is also active in his local community, freelancing as a sound engineer at music venues and festivals throughout the county and further afield. In 2019 he co-founded ‘Anglia Sound’, which showcases music and culture from the East of England.

In addition to his work with others, Dan also composes and records his own ambient material for soundtracks and installations. He is a dedicated and experienced musician who strives to bring out the best in the music he works with.
