Biography
Jet Sweeney is an interdisciplinary artist, musician and model, represented by Revolt. As lead vocalist and lyricist for alternative rock trio S3LF, their primary collaborative discipline consolidates punk, hard rock, metal and progressive rock influences with a pop sensibility to worldbuild around interplanetary adventure and space warfare. As a writer and performer, their work prioritizes collaborative music composition and building lyrical, surreal and satirical narrative. They are particularly interested in examining the relationship between autobiography and fiction as well as models of dystopia and utopia.
They have extensive live performance experience in a variety of settings, including interdisciplinary theatre spaces, independent music venues, DIY festivals and warehouse raves. In 2017, they won the Roundhouse Poetry Slam and self published Ripe(e): a non sequitur comic book. They have since travelled to Prishtina, Kosovo to perform at Cafe Dit’ e Nat’ and featured on BBC Radio 3 in Power Lines, a series about Identity and Empathy. As lead vocalist of previous band projects, they have collaboratively released an EP with IKEA Heights: Sadness in Abundance as well as a single with The Upper World: It’s Hard to Operate a Zip When You’re Burning.
