Katie Bunting (BA Performance & Creative Enterprise)

Biography

After graduating from PACE in 2019, Katie directed a new chamber opera Sane and Sound as part of the Arcola theatre’s Grimebourne festival. Since then she has been employed as Creative Learning Officer for Royal & Derngate Northampton. In this role, she leads and assists on multiple youth theatre groups, has performed as part of their touring schools show of The Highwayman, and this year is directing an original piece for the Listen Up! Youth Theatre Festival.

Katie is also the co-ordinator for the Northants Cultural Education Partnership:UNLOCK. In this role, she works to bring together cultural and arts organisations across Northamptonshire, and local schools and young people, to help achieve equal access to high quality arts provision throughout the county.

Katie will be performing on the Royal Stage in March 2020 in the principal role of Tessa in Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Gondoliers.
