Biography

Natasha Gordon MBE is an award-winning writer and actor. Her debut play, Nine Night, enjoyed a sold-out run at the National in April 2018, before transferring to Trafalgar Studios, making her the first black British female playwright to be produced in the West End. In recognition of the play’s overwhelming success, Natasha won the Charles Wintour Award for most promising playwright at the 2018 Evening Standard Theatre Awards.

As a performer, Natasha’s stage credits include; Clubland at the Royal Court Theatre in 2001, As You Like It at the RSC in 2003, Red Velvet at the Tricycle Theatre in 2012, The Low Road at the Royal Court Theatre in 2013 and Nine Night at Trafalgar Studios in 2018. 

Natasha’s Film and TV appearances include Dough in 2015, Line of Duty in 2016, Danny and the Human Zoo in 2015 and Class in 2016. 

Natasha was selected as a BAFTA Breakthrough Brit in 2018, and in 2020, was appointed Member of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2020 New Year Honours for services to drama.

In 2021, Natasha was made a Fellow of Guildhall School in recognition of her achievements in drama.
