Biography
Oleg studied at the Tchaikovsky Conservatoire in Moscow and was winner of the All Soviet Union Cello Competition in 1989. He has performed recitals and concerto engagements throughout the Soviet Union, Europe and Israel, with orchestras such as the Moscow Philharmonic, the State Symphony Orchestra of the USSR and the Geneva Chamber Orchestra. He makes regular solo appearances at the Wigmore Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Barbican.
An active chamber musician, he founded the Rubinstein Piano Trio and is the Artistic Director of the Razumovsky Ensemble. He has recorded extensively for radio and CD.
Formerly Associate Professor at the Moscow Conservatoire, he has given master classes in Russia, Poland, Switzerland and Israel.
