Seth Nordin

Biography

Seth is a trombone performer and educator from the United States of America. He received his Bachelor’s in Music from the University of Central Arkansas and his Master’s in Music from the University of Northern Iowa. Seth now lives near Sherborne, Dorset, and enjoys teaching brass and jazz at Guildhall Young Artists Taunton.

Seth has played with several orchestras, including Waterloo/Cedar Falls Symphony and Northern Iowa Symphony Orchestra in Iowa, USA, as well as Conway Symphony Orchestra and Pine Bluff Symphony Orchestra in Arkansas, USA.

He has also performed with various musical theatre companies, including Arkansas Repertory Theatre, Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre, Waterloo Community Playhouse in Iowa, USA, and Octagon Theatre in Yeovil, UK. Seth played lead trombone and was a featured soloist on the UNI Jazz Band One album 'That Doesn't Even Look Like You.'

Seth recently spent two years playing trombone for Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd, and also served as Assistant Musical Director and Musical Director, organising all live music on the ship. He now serves as teacher of Brass and Jazz at Guildhall Young Artists Taunton, as well as Visiting Music Teacher of Trombone and Heavy Brass at Sherborne School in Sherborne, Dorset.
