Biography

Benjamin Yeo CV
What's been your highlight during your time at Guildhall?

Working as Lighting Programmer on Thornton Wilder’s Our Town, as I was pushed and challenged with a large and varied lighting rig, as well as learning to program and work in a high pressure and intense environment. I found the work very rewarding and enjoyed the team I worked with. I also developed my programming skills greatly and enjoyed building a working relationship with the LD.

What's been your highlight in the industry?

I’ve enjoyed learning and working on a variety of West End Productions across different departments, to gain a variety of skills and understanding across Technical Theatre. I’ve particularly enjoyed working in Automation and being challenged with busy plots and complex performer flying. I have also enjoyed networking and building contacts in the theatre industry which has provided me with extra opportunities.

What are you most interested in working in after you graduate?

After graduating, I hope to explore lighting programming and automation within theatre, specifically in Musical theatre. However, I am also open to exploring different avenues and industries within lighting, rigging and automation, including live music, TV and Cruises.
