Biography

What's been your highlight during your time at Guildhall?

During my time at Guildhall, one of the main highlights was working and programming the opera Dead Man Walking. This was an incredible experience with an amazing creative team. The programming mentors on this show were really good at identifying where I needed to improve and knew exactly how to do so.

What's been your highlight in the industry?

The main highlight I the industry so far is being part of the technical team at Royal Opera House. The incredibly close-knit team has allowed me to explore the world of opera in a totally different way at a much larger scale and still made me feel confident and reassured at the same time. It is important to me to not only be learning new skills but to also be refining existing ones and this is definitely a place I have been able to do just that. The Royal Opera House is a venue that functions completely differently to any other theatre and its for that reason that its such an incredible place to be able to learn.

What other passions and projects have you enjoyed exploring during your time at Guildhall?

Personally I m a very keen carpenter and Guildhall has made it very easy to explore and develop my skills in the workshop both through my construction allocation but also in my spare time and random projects that I have needed some help with from the construction staff.

What are you most interested in working in after you graduate?

After Graduating I would very much like to stick with working in Opera. I find it to be a very different way to working that your typical drama production but in a way that I feel comfortable in. I feel my main Specialism will be Production Lighting however I am aiming to learn automation and delve into the world of moving and flying objects which before coming to Guildhall was completely unheard of for me.
