What's been your highlight during your time at Guildhall?

The highlight of my time at Guildhall was participating in Unfinished Collective's residency at IKLECTIK. In the first term, it made me feel so at home to meet like-minded people, make new friends, and improvise week to week. Exploring sound in new ways through the Fluxus workbook or scores that each person made added a new dimension to how I think about my own work. Something simple is enough as long as it's intentional.

What other passions and projects have you enjoyed exploring during your time at Guildhall?

Outside of regular studies, I have been exploring voice, collaboration, movement direction, and continuing my path as a contemporary dancer / choreographer.  In December and April, I have been fortunate enough to study with Meredith Monk, Ellen Fisher, and The House in New York. At the end of February, Efe Yuksel (MA Composition) and I premiered our third collaborative piece Bebek at Etcetera Theatre in Camden. This was my first time producing a show outside of an institution, and my first full length work at 40 minutes. Fellow MA CTPD students Josh Hill, Sarah Campbell, and Amirul Azmi were critical in providing support to make the show happen. I am excited for upcoming projects with new friends / collaborators that I've met this year at Guildhall!

What are you most interested in working in after you graduate?

After graduation, I am interested in continuing to make my own choreographic work and begin auditioning as a dancer. What excites me is finding new ways to support others using my skillset.  I am excited to pursue movement direction and using movement in a broader sense to add to another's' vision.
