Guildhall School is delighted to welcome Bernard d'Ascoli to work with Guildhall pianists in this free, open masterclass.
Described as 'one of the major pianists of his generation' by the Guardian, d'Ascoli became the youngest French Baccalaureate graduate of the year in 1974, and four years later at the age of nineteen won First Prize in the Barcelona International Piano Competition. After winning further international prizes he came to major public attention in 1981 as a prize winner at in the Leeds International Piano Competition. Since then he has performed in many of the world’s most prestigious venues, with world-renowned orchestras, recorded many albums and given masterclasses internationally.
