Big Band Summit
Inviting musicians of all ages to join a big band workshop led by Josephine Davies! The workshop will help you to hone your large ensemble playing skills, focusing on the different sections of the band, with lots of space for interpretation and improvisation.
Following the workshop you are invited to attend free performances by NYJO (National Youth Jazz Orchestra) featuring Nikki Yeoh, The London Intercollegiate Jazz Orchestra made up of musicians from RAM, Trinity and Guildhall schools of music, and Josephine Davies’ Enso Ensemble.

12pm - Workshop registration in Rehearsal Room 3
12.15pm - 1.45pm - Big Band workshop led by Josephine Davies
2pm - 4pm - Performance by NYJO featuring Nikki Yeoh
4.15pm - 4.45pm - Nikki Yeoh Q&A hosted by Kevin Le Gendre
5pm - 6pm - Finn Genockey directs The London Intercollegiate Jazz Orchestra
7.15pm - 8pm - Josephine Davies' Enso Ensemble

The Guildhall Jazz Festival is presented in association with the EFG London Jazz Festival and features current and past students, Guildhall Jazz teachers, and special guests in a celebration of the wealth of creativity and originality within the Guildhall Jazz community.
Venue information
Milton Court, based across the road from our Silk Street building, provides the School with world-class performance and training spaces, including a state of the art concert hall, a lyric theatre, a studio theatre and several major rehearsal rooms.
