Professor of Chamber Music and Vice-Rector for International Affairs and the Arts at Vienna University of Performing Arts (MDW) Johannes Meissl leads chamber music masterclasses with Trio Altamira, Concrète String Quartet and Fibonacci String Quartet.
This event is hosted by the Centre for Creative Performance & Classical Improvisation and is part of a special exchange between Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London and the mdw-University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. As part of the exchange, you can also attend an open workshop and concert with NOVO Quartet and Elmore String Quartet on Fri 15 Mar at 7pm.
The Vienna University of Performing Arts (MDW) and Guildhall School of Music & Drama are collaborating through joint teams of students from both institutions, guided by MDW’s rector Professor Johannes Meissl and the Head of the Centre at Guildhall School, Professor David Dolan.

Silk Street Theatre, Music Hall and Lecture Recital Room are located in the main Guildhall School building on Silk Street and for Barbican produced events the venue can also be accessed from the Barbican if you exit via the doors next to Barbican Kitchen on Level G.
