Event information
Guildhall Chamber Orchestra, under the baton of Joshua Weilerstein, presents a special evening of music to celebrate 10 years of Milton Court.
The programme will include the world premiere of Stannum, a newly commissioned piece by Hollie Harding, Associate Head of Composition at Guildhall School, alongside works by Mendelssohn, Vaughan Williams, Gershwin, Bernstein, Florence Price and Ginastera.
Milton Court opened its doors in 2013, adding three world-class performance venues to Guildhall School’s existing facilities. It has since allowed our musicians, actors and production artists more scope than ever to present extraordinary performances in the building’s Theatre, Studio Theatre and 600-seat concert hall – the largest conservatoire concert hall in London, showcasing state-of-the-art acoustics and technical facilities.
Join us in this wonderful space as we celebrate Milton Court’s 10-year contribution to the cultural life of Guildhall School, the Barbican and London, and look forward to its future.
