Event information

Led by Emma Smith and Callum Au, the She Sings Sinatra big band project presents a thought-provoking set of music as an alternative to ‘cancelling’ jazz repertoire from the Swing Era now considered misogynistic. The project re-imagines songs traditionally ‘owned’ by male vocalists and embeds them within female vocal repertoire.

This one-off workshop day invites under 18s and jazz students to read along during an open big band rehearsal featuring some of the finest jazz musicians on the UK scene before participating in the panel discussion which will include speakers from the band. The event finishes with a free concert performance by the She Sings Sinatra Big Band.

This workshop is for under 18s and students.
