Still Alive and Frying Bacon: Gerald Finzi's Life in Songs and Letters
Curated by Iain Burnside (pictured), this concert presents a selection of songs and letters which trace the life of English composer Gerald Finzi – from childhood to maturity, spanning both World Wars – showing him both as loving husband and tender father. Together they paint a vivid picture of mid-century British musical life.
