Ottorino Respighi is a link between the 19th and 20th centuries. His song output embraces both Italian Verismo and the world of Diaghilev and the Ballets Russes. Italian art song is a neglected area. Directed by Iain Burnside, this performance will shine light on Respighi, his contemporaries, and his friends.
