Biography
What's been your highlight during your time at Guildhall?
I was fortunate to Deputy Stage Manage an opera scenes in 2nd year, which I learned so much from throughout the process. As being a DSM is what I aspire to become, it's what you make of each moment at Guildhall. No matter what your role is, you can observe how everyone else is working, and take on things that you like into your own practice.
What's been your highlight in the industry?
So far, my industry highlight would be working on the Chichester Festival Theatre production of South Pacific. This was my first professional job where I was stage crew swing; I learnt and covered all 4 stage tracks throughout the run. It was then announced that South Pacific would go on a UK tour, and I returned as the Stage Management Intern. I was with the production throughout rehearsals, previews in Manchester and the short run in London.
What are you most interested in working in after you graduate?
Upon graduation, I'd love to work in repertory and producing houses where there is a constant production turnover. I love being in the rehearsal room and opening shows, so getting to work on many productions throughout the year with a short run is so exciting for me.
