What's been your highlight during your time at Guildhall?

I have had so many different experiences working on a variety of shows since starting at Guildhall. One of my highlights so far has been working on Anna Karenina this was a beautiful, busy show that allowed me to explore my love for period costume. I was able to work with corsetry, petticoats, and some stunning dresses.  As well as this, the plot was incredibly busy with constant quick changes that helped me build confidence in dressing with so many different layers of costume.

What's been your highlight in the industry?

My first experience of a industry show was on Anything Goes at the Barbican centre. This was such a valuable and exciting experience that allowed me to gain confidence in working outside of Guildhall.

What other passions and projects have you enjoyed exploring during your time at Guildhall?

During my associated studies I was able to explore scenic art. This allocation translates well into costume, as I feel it has helped extend my dyeing and breaking down abilities. I learnt so many key skills such as colour mixing and dirtying down. I have also had sessions in millinery, tailoring and hair and makeup, all of which has helped build up my skill set and knowledge of other practices.

What's something you have learnt that you feel will help you when you graduate?

All the skills I have learnt since being at Guildhall are going to be vital to my success in the costume industry. I have been able to build up my abilities in sewing and freely explore and practice all aspects of the costume process.

What are you most interested in working in after you graduate?

I am interested and open to experiencing all opportunities within the costume industry. This includes film, TV, theatre, and opera. I would also like to continue to pursue my love for period costume.
