What's been your highlight during your time at Guildhall?

The highlight of my time at Guildhall has definitely been getting the opportunity to work as DSM on our most recent production of Autumn Opera Scenes. I really enjoyed being able to step outside of my comfort zone and push myself learn and support the rest of the Stage Management and Production teams. It was so much fun getting to work with the creative team to build the show, especially when trying something new in the theatre as it gave me the chance to try calling with lots if different staging elements, including trap entrances and fast paced scene changes.

What’s been your highlight in the industry?

I was incredibly fortunate to join the Stage Management team on ‘Kenneth Branagh’s King Lear’ in New York City as part of my work placement this year. Getting the opportunity to work on such a large-scale show internationally was a great way for me to learn more about stage management and productions outside of the UK and really pushed me to develop my own work. Going to the USA was another major experience for me and I’d love to go back and work there again someday!

What are you most interested in working in after you graduate?

I’m most interested in working as an Assistant Stage Manager in the West End and on touring productions. Being part of a team that supports both each other and the production is something that I’ve enjoyed throughout my time at Guildhall and in the industry. I’d love to work across all aspects of drama & opera, exploring what the industry has to offer and continue to work with other likeminded and collaborative individuals.
